53rd Annual Family Medicine Refresher Course

The purpose of this Refresher Course is to provide practicing family physicians, PAs, and ARNPs a comprehensive overview of clinical issues relevant to contemporary family medicine. Lectures, case presentations, opportunities for questions and answers — all combine to create a fast-moving and useful educational experience. The course should prove especially useful for those preparing themselves for examination by the American Board of Family Medicine.

48th Annual Midwestern Conference on Health Care in the Older Adult

Designed for primary care physicians, pharmacists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, this conference instructs participants in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of conditions common in older adults.

Family Medicine Psychiatry Program Approved for Expansion.

Family Medicine Psychiatry Program will increase to four residents per year starting July 1st, 2025. Ultimately, this increase in complement will serve the state of Iowa well as we expand access to both primary care and behavioral health care in the state.

Department of Family and Community Medicine Advanced Practice Provider Residency Program granted Accreditation

University of Iowa Department of Family and Community Medicine Advanced Practice Provider Residency Program has been granted Accreditation-Clinical Postgraduate Program status by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. 10/1/2024.
