Collaboration Guidelines for Researchers
IRENE welcomes the opportunity to partner with investigators on projects that fit within its mission. We highly recommend that you consult with us while you’re writing your proposal, which gives us a chance to develop an appropriate scope of work and budget. We are also available to work with researchers post award. Please complete the Qualtrics survey (https://uiowa.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_88NDXhMeJ9jmcLA), and a staff member will follow up with you.
Key items of information to share with IRENE staff include:
- Project title and/or description
- Relevant timelines and deadlines
- Goals for working with IRENE
- Benefits of your project for participating patients, clinics, and communities
- How you plan to work with participating clinics to minimize disruption to relevant workflows
- Ideas for disseminating research results with participating patients, clinics, and communities
- Description of any previous work with IRENE
IRENE staff are available to assist with study design, training, data collection, recruitment, and analysis. For projects that partner with IRENE, we ask that you acknowledge IRENE on all related publications and share authorship with appropriate IRENE investigators. The cost of working with IRENE varies by project and could include one or more of the following:
- Percent of time of IRENE’s Director, Associate Director, and/or Program Coordinator
- A flat annual fee per clinic that agrees to participate in the project
- Development and printing of study materials
- Mailing supplies and postage
